Prophecy #8 = The Messiah is our atoning sacrifice for our sins, the necessary payment for the things we have done wrong. Isaiah 53:5 says, “But He was wounded [pierced through] for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” Paul later reveals, “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly….But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:6, 8) His death, burial, and resurrection free us from the curse of sin (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 22)! And remember, there are over 290 more specific prophecies that Christ fulfilled. From a rough hewn manger, to a rough hewn cross…from angelic announcements on the hills outside Bethlehem to angelic guards outside an empty tomb…from a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths like a newborn lamb to the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world—everything about our Lord is marvelous, masterful, and miraculous. Enjoy worshiping the prophesied, true Messiah this Christmas. ... See MoreSee Less

Prophecy #7 = The Messiah would be crucified for our sins in order to make intercession for us. “Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and he was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:12) Mark reveals, “With Him they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left. So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’” (Mark 15: 27, 28) ... See MoreSee Less
